Thank you for choosing Medianorms for your website development needs. These terms and conditions outline the agreement between you (the Client) and Medianorms for the creation, hosting, and maintenance of your website on a flexible payment plan.
1. Project Overview and Scope
- The Client has engaged Medianorms to design, develop, and launch a website with hosting and domain registration included for a period of two years.
- The agreed-upon project fee is $250, covering all basic website development, hosting, and domain registration.
2. Payment Structure
- Initial Deposit: The Client agrees to pay a non-refundable deposit of $50 to commence the project. This initial payment confirms the Client’s commitment and allows Medianorms to begin work.
- Remaining Balance: The remaining ₦120,000 will be paid according to the agreed flexible payment plan:
- Payment Options: Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly installments, as selected by the Client in the initial application form.
- Installment Amounts and Due Dates: Installment amounts and due dates will be established based on the Client’s chosen payment schedule, which will be documented and confirmed by both parties before the project starts.
- Payment Methods: All payments must be made through a secured online payment portal provided by Medianorms. Medianorms will share the payment link and access details with the Client.
3. Hosting and Domain Services
- Medianorms will provide domain registration and hosting for two (2) years as part of the $250 package fee.
- After the initial two-year period, the Client will be responsible for any renewal fees for hosting and domain registration.
- Should the Client choose to transfer their domain or hosting before the two-year term ends, they must notify Medianorms and cover any associated costs.
4. Project Timeline
- Once the initial deposit is received, Medianorms will begin the project and provide an estimated timeline for completion.
- Timelines may vary based on the complexity of the website, the Client’s responsiveness in providing required materials, and adherence to the payment schedule.
- Delays in installment payments may result in a delay of the project timeline.
5. Ownership and Transfer of Rights
- Medianorms will retain ownership of the website, domain, and hosting account until the total project fee of $250 has been paid in full.
- Once the full payment is received, the ownership of the website, including access to the domain and hosting account, will be transferred to the Client.
6. Late Payments and Non-Payment
- Grace Period: The Client has a 7-day grace period for each installment payment. After this period, a ₦2,000 late fee may be applied to each missed payment.
- Non-Payment: If the Client misses multiple payments, Medianorms reserves the right to pause the project and limit access to the website until the payment schedule is resumed.
- Termination for Non-Payment: If payments are not completed within 90 days of the last payment due date, Medianorms reserves the right to cancel the project. The initial deposit and any paid installments will not be refunded.
7. Client Responsibilities
- The Client agrees to provide any required content, images, and access to accounts necessary to complete the website development.
- The Client agrees to respond to communication requests from Medianorms promptly to avoid delays in the project.
8. Refund Policy
- The initial ₦30,000 deposit is non-refundable.
- In the event the Client decides to cancel the project after the work has commenced, any fees paid up to the cancellation date are also non-refundable.
- Refunds will not be provided for any services once the website is fully delivered and the ownership has been transferred to the Client.
9. Amendments and Additional Requests
- The initial $250, covers the standard website development as outlined. Any additional requests outside the original scope of work (such as additional pages, new functionalities, or extended maintenance) may incur extra charges.
- Medianorms will communicate any additional costs before proceeding with extra work.
10. Limitation of Liability
- Medianorms is not liable for any data loss, downtimes, or technical issues caused by the hosting provider or third-party services used in the website.
- After the ownership transfer is complete, the client assumes full responsibility for managing their website, including any costs or technical support needs.
11. Governing Law
- This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction].
